Final review

What are the following meanings?

Slr - Single lens reflect camera

Jpeg - is a lossy compression file format that works with any computer and photo software

Raw - A camera raw image file contains minimally processed data from the image sensor of either a digital camera, image scanner, or motion picture film scanner

Dpi - Dots per inch which technically means printer dots per inch. Today it is a term often misused, usually to mean PPI, which stands for Pixels Per Inch

Ae - auto exposure is an automated digital camera system that sets the aperture and/or shutter speed, based on the external lighting conditions for the photo

Af - Camera automatically focuses on subject

Ccd - charging coupled device a type of sensor that is used to capture an image by taking the light and translating it into digital data

Cpu - central processing unit the electronic circuitry within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions

f/stop - a size of the aperture or disphaphragm opening of lens

iso - indicates the relative light sensitivity of the recorded medium

kb - 2000 pixels

mb - a million pixels

pixel - They are the smallest unit of information that makes up a picture

ttl - though the lens, metering is a feature of cameras whereby light levels are measured through the lens that captures the picture, as opposed to a separate metering window

usb - universal serial bus, a standardized technology for attaching peripheral devices to a computer

vr - vibration detection, a technology used in such photographic accessories
